Success Case
Grand Paris Express metro (Lines 16 & 17)
Cellnex has deployed an indoor radio network DAS (Distributed Antenna System) for the Société du Grand Paris (SGP) on lines 16 and 17 of the Grand Paris Express metro.
This provides continuous and optimal voice and data connectivity, regardless of the mobile operator, in all 40 stations and tunnels between Saint-Denis Pleyel and Noisy-Champs on Line 16, and between Charles de Gaulle airport and Le Mesnil Amelot on line 17.
Connectivity and efficient communication are fundamental to the success of any major international event, and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games was no exception.
The Saint-Denis – Pleyel station is a crucial node of the Parisian transport system, connecting with lines 14, 15, 16 and 17.
The integration a multi-operator 3G, 4G and 5G mobile coverage system enables users to stay connected, thereby facilitating mobility and communication during one of the most significant events of the year.

Challenges
To provide neutral host commercial mobile services in Line 16 and 17 of the new constructed metro of the Grand Paris Area with over 80 million journeys/year.
Solution
Cellnex provides an independent neutral host solution, end to end, with a business model aligned with SGP needs. The deployment includes indoor radio network DAS (Distributed Antenna System) for 3G-4G band and 5G (3.5HHz) coverage.
