Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) are Cellnex’s major clients. We work together with them to deliver first-class telecommunications sites, adapted to their needs and aligned with their strategy. Cellnex have evolved the pure InfraCo concept to the Augmented Tower concept, a disruptive transformation in the model under which we manage our assets: from pure co-location services to a complete Site as a Service offering, (i) An Augmented TowerCo is capable to bring high bandwidth connectivity to their sites, (ii) Augmented Towers are sustainable sites, that combine traditional energy supply with green energy sources that make energy cost in a site the most efficient ever (iii) traditional shelters in a tower become Edge Datacentres under the Augmented TowerCo model.

Cellnex, as an independent and neutral player, takes care of those new elements in a tower under a neutral host model and multi-operator approach. This make our model, efficient, reliable and sustainable for all mobile network operators.

Towards the Augmented TowerCo

Cellnex is evolving from the traditional TowerCo model to an AugmentedTowerCo, to offer a first-class service on our sites and to our customers. From managing the passive infrastructure, we are adding active infrastructure and adjacent assets which are fundamental to the evolution to 5G, 6G and beyond. We are creating a more sustainable, efficient and reliable model, open to all MNOs, thanks to Cellnex’s neutrality and proven track record of providing excellent end-to-end services.
