Kais Ben Hamida

Nationality: French-Tunisian.

Education: Graduated from École Polytechnique (B.Sc. in Statistical Modeling and Financial Engineering), École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (M.Sc. in Engineering – Economics, Networks and Development) and Sorbonne University (M.Sc. in Economics). Completed the International Directors Program at INSEAD.

Experience: He began his professional career in 1994 at The World Bank as Project Assistant in the Infrastructure Division. In 1996 he joined Société Générale as Associate in Structured Finance, structuring project finance transactions across emerging markets. In 1997 he moved to France Telecom Mobiles International as Finance Manager, leading project financing for mobile operators worldwide. In 2000 he became Director of Business Development at Winstar Europe, and in 2001 joined Orange Group, where he held senior roles including Director of Financial Operations, Director of the Group CFO Office and Senior Vice President of M&A, co-leading global portfolio strategy across more than 15 countries, structuring complex cross-border transactions worth more than €30 billion. In 2008 he became Partner at Valiance Capital, a €1.5 billion infrastructure fund backed by Generali, where he contributed to investment strategy and capital deployment across European energy, transport, and telecom assets. From 2011 to 2015 he served as CFO of Orange Egypt and from 2015 to 2019 as CFO of Mobily (Etisalat Group). He has led close to 50 M&A and financing transactions across three continents, representing an aggregate value of approximately US$45 billion. Former Board Member of multiple telecom, technology, data centres, fintech, and healthcare companies, including Orange Egypt, Orange Denmark, Orange Austria and Khazna Data Center.

Other current positions: Since 2019 he is CFO of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du), leading strategic growth, capital allocation, asset monetization and fintech initiatives and he is also Board Member of du Pay (fintech arm of du).
