Cellnex Telecom joins the “Standard Ethics” sustainability index

  • The company debuts with an “EE-” rating, indicating that it is compliant with sustainability standards
  • Standard Ethics is an independent sustainability rating agency that promotes the principles of sustainability and governance emanating from the European Union, the OECD and the United Nations

Barcelona, 3 November, 2017. Cellnex Telecom has been selected to enter the “Standard Ethics” sustainability index, with an “EE-” rating, indicating a good level of compliance in terms of governance, sustainability and social responsibility.

According to the independent sustainability rating agency, the company has a good corporate governance system, according to the SE model.

Furthermore, in relation to sustainability policies, “Standard Ethics” has underlined that Cellnex Telecom has a good strategy that values important issues such as risk management, including environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) risks, as well as for the possible negative impacts on local communities.

Finally, the agency emphasises that in an integrated report the company has included references to the United Nations Global Compact, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the core conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO), the OECD guidelines for multinationals and also on Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards.

In this index, Cellnex Telecom is at the same level as other companies such as Deutsche Telecom, Telefónica, Repsol or Amadeus IT.
